Bartlett fire causes $130,000 in damages

A fire that started in a second-floor bedroom of a single-family house in Bartlett Monday night caused $130,000 in damages, according to a Bartlett Fire Department news release.

Firefighters arrived on the scene at 852 Tallgrass Drive at 9:28 p.m., and the blaze was under control by 9:40 p.m., according to the release.

All occupants were out of the house when fire crews arrived, and there were no injuries, according to the release.

Bartlett firefighters had help from the Carol Stream, Hanover Park and Wheaton fire departments.

The Bartlett Fire Department has ruled the cause of the fire unintentional.

According to the release, the fire caused $80,000 in property damages and $50,000 in content damage.
