Learn about bats in Lake County

"Going Batty in Lake County" is the topic of the next Green Drinks Libertyville meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Pizzeria DeVille, 404 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. Melissa Alderson, an environmental educator with the Lake County Forest Preserve District, will discuss why bats are an important part of our local ecosystems. Learn about the bat species that live in Lake County, their benefits, and an update on white-nose syndrome. Acoustic bat monitoring equipment will be available to view.
