Everyday science at CLC

"Materials Science: The Chemistry of Everyday Stuff," an evening of demonstrations designed for high-school and college students, will be at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, in Room C005 (the C Wing Auditorium) at the College of Lake County's Grayslake campus. The event is also open to local educators. Demonstrations highlight the properties and reactions of metals, polymers and ceramics and participants can learn practical applications for chemistry and discover careers that deal with materials science and engineering. The event is part of CLC's speaker series designed to help area high school and college students learn more about potential careers science, technology, engineering and math.
