New chief of Cook County Bureau of Asset Management named

The Cook County Board of Commissioners has approved Elaine Lockwood Bean's nomination as chief of the Bureau of Asset Management. According to a news release from Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, who nominated Lockwood Bean, she brings significant public and private sector experience to her new job. A registered architect, Lockwood Bean has worked domestically and internationally and has degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago and University of California at Berkeley. "We are extremely fortunate to have someone with Elaine's credentials join our management team," Preckwinkle said.
