Spain to be without Morata and Silva against Ukraine

MADRID (AP) - Striker Alvaro Morata and midfielder David Silva will miss Spain's final European Championship qualifier because of injuries.

The players were injured in Friday's 4-0 win over Luxembourg and will not travel with the rest of the squad to Kiev for Monday's game at Ukraine.

Spain secured its spot at Euro 2016 with Friday's home win.

Silva had to be substituted after only 10 minutes with an ankle injury and Morata had to leave on a stretcher before halftime because of a right leg problem.

Spanish media said the players are expected to be sidelined for about a month.
