Weekend picks: Cirque Zuma Zuma brings dance, acrobatics to COD

Amazing acrobatics

Pumpkins light up the night

The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival is once again trying to break the Guinness World Record for most lit jack-o'-lanterns on display. Bring a carved pumpkin to donate to the cause and get free admission. Nightly lightings at the giant wall of jack-o'-lanterns will brighten City Park at Highwood City Hall, 17 Highwood Ave., at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:45 p.m. Stick around for the live music, hay rides, pony rides, pumpkin-carving contest, a 5K Pumpkin Run at 9 a.m. Saturday, a parade at noon Sunday followed by a pet costume contest at 1 p.m. and a kids costume contest at 2 p.m. and more.
