Chicago-to-Vegas flight lands safely after emergency call

LAS VEGAS (AP) - An airport official says a commercial jetliner from Chicago landed safely in Las Vegas after reporting a possible problem with the aircraft braking and steering system.

McCarran International Airport spokeswoman Christine Crews says United Airlines flight 519 from O'Hare International Airport to Las Vegas declared an in-flight emergency before landing about 2:10 p.m. PDT.

No injuries were reported.

Crews says the Airbus A320 with 157 passengers and crew aboard was towed to a gate as a precaution.
