Schaumburg Police seek reaccreditation

The Schaumburg Police Department is soliciting public comment as it seeks its eighth reaccreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc.

As part of the on-site assessment, department employees and members of the public are invited to offer comments at a public information session at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, in the community room of the police station at 1000 W. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg.

If an individual cannot speak at this session but would still like to provide comments to the assessment team, they may do so by calling (847) 348-7032 between 1 and 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2.

The Schaumburg Police Department was first accredited in 1986, and was the first agency in Illinois to be so recognized for professional excellence.
