Simple licensing would solve gun problem
I laugh. But how could I laugh at another tragedy of gun violence? Because I laugh as though the politicians and the newspaper editorial sections act like there is no solution to this epidemic called gun violence.
It is so simple it is laughable. Make people responsible for their guns as they are for their cars, and the game is over.
No bans. No hysteria. No threats to our individual rights. That's all it takes. We at G-PAC and a coalition of gun-safety groups proposed state licensing of gun dealers.
Once again, no action was taken. Every politician in leadership only cares about the paper tiger and the bullies called the NRA.
So we go on again and say, "isn't this horrific?" But we move on. We make headlines in the editorial page and cater to the $20 billion-a-year gun industry.
Life is cheap. Just hope it is not your son or daughter.
