Police: Owner found of car that crashed into Schaumburg home
Schaumburg police have located the registered owner of the 2013 Nissan Sentra that crashed through the side of a garage and into the living room of a house early Sunday morning, but so far no one has accepted responsibility for being behind the wheel.
Schaumburg police Cmdr. Dave Wermes said evidence taken from inside the car is being processed in an effort to identify the driver who abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene at 3:20 a.m. Oct. 4.
Though residents of the house on the 1000 block of Springinsguth Road were home at the time, no one was injured. The extent of structural damage has kept the house uninhabitable for the time being.
