Motorcycle toy/food run travels through Elburn, Batavia Sunday

On Sunday, Oct. 11, there will be traffic disruptions along the route of the DuKane ABATE 29th annual Toy & Food Run.

The police-escorted motorcycle parade route will begin at 12:30 p.m. leaving Knuckleheads Tavern, 108 E. North St. in Elburn traveling south on Route 47, turning at Main Street in Elburn and continuing down Main Street to Batavia.

The route will turn north on Van Nortwick and again at Wilson Street in Batavia proceeding across the river to Route 25 and ending at the Batavia Overseas Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 645 S. River St.

DuKane ABATE apologizes for this inconvenience to motorists and thanks them for their patience. There will be road guardians at various crossing locations to answer any questions motorists may have.

This 29th annual Toy & Food Run collects unwrapped new toys and nonperishable food for your DuPage/Kane County area food banks, shelters, foster homes and social service agencies.

Please watch for motorcycles!
