Workshop Oct. 19 in Schaumburg offers help to afford college
State Rep. Michelle Mussman, the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer and the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will host a College Affordability Workshop from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at the Marletta Darnall Schaumburg Child and Family Center, 725 E. Schaumburg Road.
The event will feature presentations on the different programs available to help make a college education more affordable, as well as how to effectively file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). ISAC also will provide tips for students filling out college applications and resumes.
