Hoffman Estates Public Works Open House Oct. 17

The village of Hoffman Estates will host a Coffee with the Board along with a Public Works Open House from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow Public Works Center, 2305 Pembroke Ave.

Residents are invited to visit with village trustees and enjoy a tour of the public works facility.

Kids activities include a personalized sign from the sign shop, painting a snowplow and riding in a snowplow truck. Each child will receive one entry for a chance to ride on a public works vehicle in the 2016 Fourth of July parade.

Help "Load the Loader" by bringing a donation of nonperishable canned goods to help replenish area township food pantries.

School groups, scout groups and other children, accompanied by an adult, are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. RSVP for larger groups. For more information, call the Public Works Department at (847) 490-6800.
