Historical society presents evening of haunted hijinx

Travel though the past during an evening of haunted hijinx when the great Madam Zelda and Curtain Up Players present "The Time Machine" in October.

This fundraiser for the Glen Ellyn Historical Society is presented at 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 24 and 25, at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St.

Time Travel Tour Guides guide visitors into the entrance at the History Center where Madame Zelda makes predictions from the past. The journey takes everyone further into the past as they move to Stacy's Tavern Museum. Climb up the old staircase and visit rooms where Glen Ellyn's first settlers lived and stage coach travelers lodged.

This haunted journey is not recommended for children younger than 5. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 5-12.

For tickets, call (630) 469-1867 or visit Stacy's Corners Store from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday in the Glen Ellyn History Center.
