Police: 2 teens found shot dead in vehicle in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis police say two females were found shot dead in a vehicle.

Police on Monday identified the victims as 17-year-old Coriana Johnson and 18-year-old Makayla Mitchell of Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release early Sunday that both suffered from multiple gunshot wounds. They were found in a gray vehicle.

Police said officers were on their way to the scene at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday responding to a report about the shooting when two men flagged them down.

Authorities said emergency medical responders arrived at the scene and pronounced both victims dead.

No arrests have been made. Police are investigating.
