Nov. 8: United Protestant Church Concert Series features men's singing group, Jake's Boys

Jake's Boys, an eight-man gospel singing group from Gibson City, Ill., will present a free concert on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. at the United Protestant Church (UPC) of Grayslake. This is the first event in the 2015-16 UPC Concert Series at 54 S. Whitney Street, downtown Grayslake.

Jake's Boys are a southern gospel group committed to sharing the love and gospel of Jesus Christ through words, music and fellowship. Hailing from Gibson City, Ill., Jake's Boys began performing after appearing together in a local production of the musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." Jake's Boys derived their name from the fact that most of the guys played sons of Jacob in the musical. They shortened Jacob's Sons to Jake's Boys. Learn more and listen to their music at http://www.jakesboys.org.

A free-will offering will be taken. For more information, call United Protestant Church at (847) 223-8131, email: upc@upcgl.org or visit www.facebook.com/UPCGrayslake.
