Injured Conklin not dressed for No. 2 Spartans

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan State tackle Jack Conklin has not dressed for the second-ranked Spartans on Saturday against Purdue.

Conklin left last weekend's victory over Central Michigan with an apparent knee injury, and his status has been uncertain. Michigan State tight end Josiah Price, who was using crutches to support himself on the sideline toward the end of the CMU game, is in uniform Saturday, but he was standing on the sideline without a helmet during his team's first offensive series.

Injuries have been mounting for the Spartans during the early part of this season. Michigan State has lost linebacker Ed Davis and defensive back Vayante Copeland for the season.
