Recalls this week: pacifier clips, bicycles, armchairs
A line of pacifier clips that pose a choking hazard to children are among this week's recalled consumer products. Others include women's sandals, bicycles and armchairs.

PACIFIER CLIPS
DETAILS: Five styles of Chewbeads Baby pacifier clip holders. The "Where's the Pacifier?" pacifier clips styles include shapes of a Butterfly, Dinosaur, Heart, Sheriff Badge and a white baseball with red stitching and a major league baseball team logo. "Chewbeads baby" is imprinted in raised letters on the rubber shape attachment. The pacifier clips have eight multi-colored beads threaded through a narrow satin ribbon that attaches to a pacifier on one end and a plastic D-ring on the other. The garment clip has the following number codes on the back of the plastic clip: 3/31/14, 08/08/14, 12/01/14, 14/30/09, 15/02/09, 25/04/14. They were sold at Buy Buy Baby and small boutique retail stores nationwide and in Canada from September 2014 through June 2015.
WHY: The "D'' ring on the pacifier clip can break, allowing beads to detach, posing a choking hazard.
INCIDENTS: Seven reports of the beads detaching. No injuries have been reported.
HOW MANY: About 45,000 in U.S. and about 5,900 in Canada.

WOMEN'S SANDALS
DETAILS: All sizes and colors of the Madewell Katya sandal from the spring 2015 collection. The metallic sand or rose gold-colored leather sandals have a wide strap with a lace-up thong. The style number C5840 is located on a sticker on the outsole. They were sold at Madewell stores nationwide and online at madewell.com from April 2015 through August 2015.
WHY: The metal shank can dislodge and break through bottom of the outsole, posing a fall hazard.
INCIDENTS: One report of a metal shank dislodging and breaking through the bottom of the outsole. No injuries have been reported.
HOW MANY: About 570 in the U.S. and three in Canada. Madewell recalled 50,600 women's Sightseer sandals in August 2015 for the same hazard.

PIZZA WHEELS
DETAILS: Calphalon pizza cutters, with the "Calphalon" embossed on the top of the black handle. Model number GT112, 1753513 or 1753521 are printed near the barcode on the packaging. They were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, J.C. Penney, Kohls, Target, Walmart and other stores nationwide, and online at amazon.com, bedbathandbeyond.com, sears.com, target.com and other online retailers between January 2006 and August 2015.
WHY: The handle of the pizza cutter can detach during use, posing a laceration hazard.
INCIDENTS: 11 incident reports, including 6 reports of finger lacerations. One person required stitches and another person received medical attention to close their wounds.

BICYCLES
DETAILS: Bicycles from 13 brands that are equipped with front disc brakes and quick release levers. The brands include Diamondback, Raleigh, Breezer, Cannondale, Felt, Jamis, Giant, Haro, Norco, Access, Civia Cycles, Novara, Ridley, and Specialized. They were sold from about 1998 through 2015. WHY: An open quick release lever on the bicycle's front wheel hub can come into contact with the front disc brake rotor causing the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.
INCIDENTS: Three incidents reported in which an open quick release lever on a bicycle's front wheel hub came into contact with the bike's front disc brake assembly and caused the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle. In one incident, an adult male suffered a broken finger, a wrist injury, a shoulder injury and abrasions. No injuries were reported in the other two incidents.
HOW MANY: About 1.3 million in the U.S., about 245,000 in Canada and about 9,000 in Mexico.

ARM CHAIRS
DETAILS: Ross rattan arm chairs. The brown wicker chairs were sold with SKU number 400119000982 printed on a hang tag. They were sold at Ross stores nationwide from May 2015 through June 2015.
WHY: The chair may tip or slide backward, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
INCIDENTS: Eight reports of minor injuries including scrapes and bruises.

TREE STANDS
DETAILS: The 2015 model M-60 Millennium Outdoors fixed position tree stand. These fixed position tree stands are used to hunt from an elevated position. It has a green canvas seat with a red "M'' and "Millennium Treestand" printed in white letters in the center affixed with black snaps on the sides. The model number is printed on the tree stand packaging. The date code MO5100 is stamped on the top of the back post of the tree stand. The base platform has a black metal mesh frame. They were sold at B&H Farm Supply, Farris Brothers, Gander Mountain, Midway USA and Sportsman's Warehouse from May 2015 through August 2015.
WHY: The seat on the tree stand can bend in a downward angle, posing a fall hazard to the user.
INCIDENTS: None reported.

RIDING LAWN MOWERS
DETAILS: Edge, Edge XLT and Wrangler lawn mowers. The red riding lawn mowers have a gray seat with a foam cushion, black arm rests and either black or gray joystick or twin lever steering. "Country Clipper" and the model name appear in black letters on the front under the seat and on the sides of the lawn mower. They were sold at Country Clipper lawn mower dealerships nationwide from June 2015 to September 2015. WHY: The gas cap threads do not align with threads of the fuel tanks opening, which can allow fuel to leak, posing a fire hazard.

PATIO CHAIRS
DETAILS: Pier 1 Imports' Katerina model outdoor patio swivel armchairs sold from December 2014 through July 2015. The chair is black/brown powder-coated aluminum and swivels and rocks. It has SKU number 2899742 printed on the chair's hangtag.
WHY: The swivel armchair can tip backward while rocking and consumers can fall off, posing a fall hazard.
INCIDENTS: Five reports of the chair tipping over in stores with consumers in them, including one report of a consumer who received contusions and scratches.

DISHWASHERS
DETAILS: Power cords supplied with certain Bosch, Gaggenau, Kenmore Elite and Thermador brand dishwashers that were made from January 2008 through December 2013. Model and serial numbers are located on the top side of the dishwashers' inner door panels. They were sold at appliance and specialty retailers, department stores, authorized builder distributors, home improvement stores nationwide and online between January 2009 and May 2014. WHY: The power cord can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

CRIBS
DETAILS: DaVinci brand full-size cribs including the Reagan crib (model #M2801), the Emily crib, (model #M4791), the Jamie crib (model #M7301), and the Jenny Lind crib (model #M7391) made from May 2012 through December 2012. The model number, serial number and manufacture date are printed on a label affixed to the bottom right hand side panel of the crib. Cribs included in the recall have serial numbers that begin with "N00" and were sold at Target and juvenile products stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com from May 2012 to December 2013. WHY: A metal bracket that connects the mattress support to the crib can break, creating an uneven sleeping surface or a gap. If this occurs, a baby can become entrapped in the crib, fall or suffer lacerations from the broken metal bracket.
INCIDENTS: Five additional reports of the mattress support brackets breaking and detaching. No injuries have been reported.
HOW MANY: About 6,000 in the U.S. and 13 in Canada. Bexco recalled an additional 11,600 Bexco cribs in July 2015.
