Two St. Charles business cited for liquor violations

Mayor Raymond Rogina, acting as liquor control commissioner, enforced local liquor ordinances for two local businesses at the Sept 21, 2015, meeting of the St. Charles Liquor Control Commission.

• The Alibi was cited Aug. 30, 2015, for allowing a patron to exit its premises while in possession of an alcoholic beverage. The license holder was required to pay a $500 fine and $500 in court costs.

• The Baker Hotel was cited July 25, 2015, for allowing a patron to exit its premises while in possession of an alcoholic beverage. The license holder was required to pay a $500 fine and $500 in court costs.

"Cooperation between the city and our business community is vital," said Mayor Rogina. "Both licensees assured the commission and me that they will increase safeguards to avoid this type of situation from occurring again."
