Romanucci & Blandin attorney named first vice president of Justinian Society of Lawyers

Romanucci & Blandin, LLC, a leading personal injury and civil trial practice law firm in Chicago, proudly announces that partner Frank A. Sommario has been named first vice president of the Justinian Society of Lawyers. Since the founding of the organization in 1921, the institution has become one of the largest ethnic bar associations in the U.S.

Mr. Sommario began his membership with the Justinian Society in 1997 as a first year law student. He has served on the executive committee since 2009 and has been active in the society by co-chairing various committees which helped to raise funds for the organization's scholarship and children's endowments.

"As a firm, Romanucci & Blandin is well represented as partner Antonio M. Romanucci (past president in 20-03) and of Counsel Hon. Bruno J. Tassone (past president in 1984-85) have been associated with the Justinian Society of Lawyers for more than 30 years.

Mr. Sommario served as counsel to Romanucci & Blandin in workers' compensation matters before joining the firm in 2007. Since that time, he represents injured workers and their families as a petitioner's workers' compensation lawyer. For his successes representing injury victims, Mr. Sommario was named an "Illinois' Rising Star" by Super Lawyers® for the years 2010-2015. In addition, he was named to Law Bulletin Publishing Company's "40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch for 2012."

Mr. Sommario is active in several professional organizations including the Illinois State Bar Association where he has served two three-year terms on the board of governors. He acted as the board liaison to the workers' compensation law section council, the federal taxation section council, and the standing committee on law office management & economics. He is a Silver Fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the ISBA.

Sommario is also a past president of the Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association, where he currently has been appointed the comptroller to advise the current president and board of directors on fiscal tax reporting matters. He is also a member of the national and state trial lawyers' associations.
