Early script by playwright gets reading at Oakton

An early script by New Trier alumna and acclaimed playwright Sarah Ruhl will receive a staged reading 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4 at Studio One at Oakton Community College, 1600 E. Golf Road, Des Plaines. "Late: A Cowboy Song" is a modern tale of love and longing for three people who want something better out of life. The reading focuses on Mary, a young housewife who undergoes a personal awakening about herself, marriage and happiness.
