Wheeling Vocalist Hilary Feldman's Act of Kindness Cabaret Reaches Historic Milestone with 10th Anniversary Raising $250,000 for Area Non For Profit Charities

Praised as a "tour de force of cabaret, opera and jazz," by the Chicago Tribune, and named "one of the top five female musicians in Chicago, " by CBS2 Chicago, vocalist/recording artist Hilary Ann Feldman also uses her talents to help others in need. Hilary has performed her solo cabaret acts throughout the Chicago area, as well as at venues in New York City, Los Angeles, and London, England.

Ten years ago, Hilary devised the concept of providing professional cabaret performances, largely free of charge, as fundraising events for other Chicago-area non-profit organizations. In doing so, she would also introduce new audiences to modern cabaret. Act Of Kindness Cabaret fulfills the artistic portion of their mission while at the same time fulfilling the philanthropic one. It is simple kindness to the non-profit community and those they serve.

Some of the organizations that benefited include the American Cancer Society, Connection for the Homeless, Lincoln Park's Community Shelter, the Music Arts School in Highland Park, Youth Organizations Umbrella in Evanston, NorthWest Arts Connection, Rock for Kids and the North Suburban United Way.

Act Of Kindness Cabaret will reach their historic $250,000 milestone when they perform on Sunday, October 4th in a benefit for Career Transitions Center of Chicago at Curtis Hall in the Fine Arts Building, 401 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago. And for their charitable work. The award will be presented on Feldman's Acts Of Kindness Cabaret will be honored with an award by Chicago Cabaret Professionals at their 2015 gala Sunday, October 18, at the Park West. This accolade comes less than a year after the organization received the Arts of Humanity's prestigious C.A.R.E Award.

Hilary Ann Feldman has received acclaim for her solo performances as well, most recently with her musical tribute to Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Audrey and to comedy icon Carol Burnett Laughing Matters the Life and Laughs of Carol Burnett . That show will be brought back by popular demand at Davenport's, 1383 North Milwaukee, Chicago, November 5 and 12.

Hilary won praise for her debut recording Taking Flight, garnering airplay and being names Cabaret/Folk CD of the Year by Cabaret Hotline. The recording is available through iTunes, Amazon.com and CDBaby.com.
