Frank J. Czarnik Golf Outing funds scholarships

The ninth annual Frank J. Czarnik Memorial Golf outing will be held at Fox Run Saturday, Oct. 3, with a 7 a.m. shotgun start.

The outing honors the contributions Czarnik made to the community as president of the Elk Grove Park District, an active member of the Jaycees, and through other local organizations and activities.

Proceeds from the event fund college scholarships to recognize high school seniors who also give their time and inspire others. Over the past eight years, 32 scholarships have been provided for students who volunteer in their communities, at their schools, and for their churches and other causes.

The outing will include a variety of prizes, and participants can even win a new car for a hole in one, courtesy of Woody Buick GMC.
