A candidate for change in 10th District

The current U.S. Congress has an 11 percent approval rating, and yet, incumbents are re-elected 90 percent of the time. The only way to improve the way that Congress functions is to elect new candidates who are smart, experienced and productive - whatever their party affiliation.

We, in the 10th District, have just such a candidate running in the Democratic primary. Her name is Nancy Rotering, the current mayor of Highland Park.

Nancy has an economics degree from Stanford, an MBA from Northwestern and a law degree from University of Chicago. She has worked for GM in finance, practiced health care law, and while taking a break to raise four sons, was elected to the Highland Park City Council and is currently serving her second term as mayor.

Her record is one of reform, transparency and working with all sides to accomplish goals. In addition, she had the courage to come out for the Iran deal, before its passage was assured - earning the endorsements of Abner Mikva and Adlai Stevenson.

She is a leader. Nancy Rotering is the kind of candidate who would transform Congress.
