Grandparents proud of their grandson

Jacob Sweetow was one of 90 high school seniors to be selected this fall to attend a Princeton University Creative Arts and Humanities Symposium mid October.

The weekend will be an intense exchange of ideas both formal and informal in conversation with faculty regarding the arts and the humanities covering the universe subjects that include language and literature, history, philosophy, religion, and various cross-disciplinary programs.

Jacob is the first Wheeling High School student to receive this honor. A letter of recommendation was submitted to Princeton by Mr. John Hammond, Jacob's counselor.

Jacob is quite a busy young man. He enjoys the challenge of learning and works on the school newspaper and math team. He is a member of the National Honor Society. He tutors students who need extra help during his lunch hour. He assists children who have social and behavioral problems with the use of karate. He volunteers his time helping children with cancer. He has a real love of music and plays both the piano and guitar. He is also a member of a musical group. We are two proud grandparents.
