Don't assume all pet stores are puppy mills

Last December my fiancé lost two older dogs within 45 days that she raised as puppies. Her favorite was a Rottweiler. She was devastated and I wanted to do something for her. As a longtime resident of Arlington Heights I like to support local businesses, so we went in search of another Rottweiler.

We went to Happiness is Pets in Arlington Heights and saw exactly what we were looking for. Our dog is now a year old and doing great. We are often complimented on how handsome he is.

So it pains me when other people label this business as a puppy mill and try to legislate it out of business. These people should be more concerned with irresponsible pet owners.

All dogs deserve a good home regardless of where they were born. We couldn't be more thrilled with our Rottweiler named Brody.
