Lake County celebrated its agricultural roots this weekend as the Forest Preserve District held its 23rd annual Farm Heritage Festival.

The family friendly two-day event held at Lakewood Forest Preserve and the Lake County Discovery Museum near Wauconda featured hundreds of antique tractors, cars, engines and other farm machinery.

Daily sheep herding and threshing demonstrations, live music, a tractor parade, a petting zoo, scarecrow making and wagon rides were some of the event's other highlights.
