The Chicago Bears were shut out by the Seattle Seahawks 26-0 on Sunday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle.

The Bears were shutout for the first time since Dec. 29, 2002 when they were beaten by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 15-0.

The Bears punted on their first 10 possessions as quarterback Jimmy Clausen was ineffective throwing for 63 yards and no touchdowns.

The score was close in the first half but Seahawks Tyler Lockett returned the second-half kickoff a franchise-record 105 yards for a touchdown, giving the Seahawks a 13-0 lead.

The Bears defense was better than the previous two games with their first sacks of the season. Pernell McPhee was credited with 2 sacks.

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 229 yards with one touchdown.
