Adams starts for Oregon, Wilson for Utah

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Oregon started Vernon Adams Jr. and Utah started Travis Wilson on Saturday with both quarterbacks coming off injuries.

Adams sustained a broken right index finger in No. 13 Oregon's season opener against his former team, Eastern Washington. The Ducks held him out of last weekend's 61-28 victory over Georgia State.

The crowd at Autzen Stadium cheered when Adams was announced as starter.

Wilson sprained his left shoulder during the No. 18 Utes' second game of the season against Utah State and did not play in the 45-24 victory at Fresno State last weekend.

There was speculation about both quarterbacks leading into the game, and both teams waited to name a starter.
