Akron beats Louisiana-Lafayette 35-14

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Thomas Woodson passed for two touchdowns and ran for another, Conor Hundley ran for two scores and Akron capitalized on turnovers to beat Louisiana Lafayette 35-14 on Saturday.

The Zips (2-2) led 14-7 at halftime after Woodson's 14-yard TD run. He gained 93 yards on eight carries and completed 13 of 29 passes for 238 yards, with one interception and scoring passes of nine yards to Andrew Pratt and 72 yards to Jerome Lane.

Hundley had 77 yards on 20 carries, including a 1-yard scoring run in the third quarter that was set up by an interception by DeAndre Scott, and an 11 yarder in the fourth set up by a fumble recovery by Cody Grice.

Elijah McGuire scored on a 17-yard run for the Ragin' Cajuns (1-2) and Jalen Nixon hit Gabe Fuselier with an 8-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter.
