COD Invites Alumni to Homecoming Week Activities Oct. 15 to 17
College of DuPage invites alumni back to campus for a series of events during Homecoming Week Oct. 15 to 17, including a reception before "Bee Gees Night Fever," a tribute show at the McAninch Arts Center, and a Student Life Alumni Social.
Events are sponsored by the Alumni Relations program, which serves alumni and friends by keeping them informed of College happenings and offering various ways to get involved.
"For almost 50 years, College of DuPage has been an integral part of our community, and we are excited that our new Alumni Relations program will help reconnect our past students with the College and each other," said Julie Jancius, Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Fund. "Homecoming weekend is a great way for our alumni to come back to campus and have some fun."
Kicking off alumni activities is the Student Life Alumni Social from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Student Resource Center, Room 2000. Alumni who were involved in a club or organization while attending COD are invited back for an evening of food and fun. Attendees are asked to RSVP to studentlife@cod.edu.
An alumni reception will be held before "Bee Gees Night Fever," a tribute show on Friday, Oct. 16, at the McAninch Arts Center. During the reception, which starts at 7 p.m., alumni can enjoy beverages and light appetizers and socialize with their fellow classmates before the 8 p.m. show. Tickets to the show start at $36 and can be ordered online by using the promotional code "10PERCENT," which provides a 10 percent discount and automatically registers alumni for the reception. On game day, Saturday, Oct. 17, alumni can attend the pre-game party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outside the Bjarne Ullsvik Football Stadium. Free food and games are part of the event, and alumni are invited to stop by the Alumni Information Table for a small token of appreciation (while supplies last).
The College of DuPage Chaparrals will meet the Iowa Western Community College Reivers during the Homecoming Game, which kicks off at 1 p.m. During the halftime show, the 1993 to 1996 College of DuPage football teams will be honored for their record-setting, undefeated seasons.
