Fall back into genealogy research at St. Charles library

Did you get your start in genealogy using Ancestry.com? Not sure what to do next?

Caron Primas Brennan will present "Research Your Family History Using the Internet or What's New on the Internet for Genealogy?!" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in the St. Charles Public Library's Carnegie Community Room, 1 S. Sixth Ave.

Going beyond Ancestry.com and Cyndi's List, Primas Brennan will present a survey of new, little known, and perhaps unusual genealogy resources and Internet sites to help you in your research.

Family Tree Maker is one of the most popular genealogy software programs. At 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, genealogist Jane Haldeman will demonstrate how to use the latest version and discuss some of the new features such as Workspaces, detailed source citations and direct inclusion of online information in Using Family Tree Maker. This program is for the beginner or the advanced genealogist.

Registration for all workshops is required. For more information or to register, visit www.stcharleslibrary.org or call (630) 584-0076.
