Learn how technology is being used at Geneva schools

The Geneva Unit District 304 board of education invites the community to a public forum to learn more about the district's use of technology in the classroom.

On Tuesday, Oct. 27, between 5-7 p.m., students and teachers from across grade levels will demonstrate how technology is being used to enhance learning in an open house-style forum.

The forum will be held at Geneva Middle School South, 1415 Viking Drive.

"Helping our students learn how to navigate various technologies is essential to preparing our students for success in the 21st century," said Superintendent Kent Mutchler. "This public forum is an exciting opportunity for us to show the community how its investment in technology in education is paying off for our students."

Parents, grandparents, and anyone who has an interest in how technology is being employed at school is encouraged to come see firsthand some of the amazing things students are working on and tryout some of the technologies for themselves. School administrators and board members will be available to answer questions.

Refreshments will be provided by the Geneva School District Joint PTO.

The community's high expectations for student performance are reflected in the district's "Tradition of Excellence," in which student achievement levels far exceed state and national norms.
