Laura Witter is Dedicated to Excellence

Laura Witter received the Des Plaines Park District's Dedicated to Excellence Award on September 22 at the Park Board meeting from Nancy Suwalski, Cultural Arts Supervisor. Ms. Witter is the Artistic Director of the park district's award-winning in-house dance company, Artistry in Motion. She is also a member of the Cerqua Rivera Dance Theatre in Chicago, and performed for many years as a founding member of the acclaimed Chicago Tap Theatre dance company. "Laura has a positive and cheerful presence about her which brings out the best in those she works with and teaches." said Suwalski.

The Dedicated to Excellence Award is presented three times each year to outstanding employees who have made a positive contribution to their department and the Park District. Potential recipients are nominated by Park District staff members and their ballots evaluated by the Employee Relations Committee for creativity, responsibility, community relations and a positive attitude.
