Glenbard West meets Lyons Township in battle of unbeatens

There are still four unbeaten teams in the Silver, and this first meeting among them begins what will be a thrilling final five weeks of the season.

Last week, Glenbard West's starters played near perfect for the two-and-a-half quarters they were on the field.

The starting offense scored on every possession with Vanderbilt-bound running back Sam Brodner tallying 4 touchdowns and tacking on a fifth with a kick return.

While the Lions' defense focuses on him, they'd better be wary of fullback Isaiah Skinner and his downhill threat in addition to quarterback Brian Cochrane's efficient passing attack.

Lyons Twp. counters with a young set of offensive skill players led by sophomore quarterback Ben Bryant.

Hilltoppers safety Danny Riley leads a young Glenbard West secondary, but the defense overall is led by linebackers Nico Gagliano and Ross Andreasik. While Glenbard West has won by an average of 4 touchdowns, the Lions have two shutouts and two 3-point wins.
