Community Volunteers Needed to Help Seniors

West Chicago, Illinois: September 23, 2015 - West Chicago's annual Senior Citizen Leaf Raking Event is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Volunteers are needed to lend a helping hand to senior citizens and those unable to tackle the task of raking the leaves in their yards.

Businesses or organizations looking for a rewarding service project should contact Commander Steve Laub at the West Chicago Police Department at (630) 293-2754 or by email at slaub@westchicago.org.

Volunteers will gather at the Fox Community Center, 306 Main Street, at 7:00 a.m. to receive their assignment, and return to the Community Center at 11:00 a.m. for a thank you pizza party. Participants are asked to bring a rake and work gloves.
