Schaumburg library seeking entries for Teen Film Fest

Teen Place at the Schaumburg Township District Library is seeking submissions for its second annual Teen Film Fest, set to take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21.

The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 7. Anyone age 12 through 19 may submit short films to be judged and publicly viewed during the fest. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

Entries can be a maximum film length of 7 minutes. Longer films will not be accepted. Entries must be uploaded to the director's YouTube account, with a link emailed to studio@stdl.org.

Those who do not have a YouTube account can load the film file onto a DVD and turn it in at the Teen Place Desk on the second floor of the library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg. A completed entry form also must be submitted for each film.

Anyone planning to create a film for the fest is welcome to use the library's production studio, and may book a time slot by contacting Jeremy Slayton at (847) 923-3243 or sending an email to studio@stdl.org.

Detailed rules and tips are available on the library's website at teen.schaumburglibrary.org.
