ENAZ On The Park 2nd Anniversary Event Supports Lake County Haven Of Libertyville In Meeting Needs Of Homeless Women And Children

Women helping women and children in need is the goal of the ENAZ On The Park second anniversary event ongoing through Wednesday, Sept. 30, in which proceeds from the sale of a special Power Pass will be donated to The Lake County Haven of Libertyville. ENAZ On The Park is located at 111 W. Church Street, Libertyville. "ENAZ" stands for "Energy, Nature, Attitude, and Zest For Life."

The Power ("Protecting Our Women to Empower their Rights") Pass will be sold in $20, $40, and $60 increments giving the purchasers 10, 15, or 20 percent off their entire purchases of in-store merchandise only at the Libertyville location.

The Lake County Haven is a social-service agency dedicated to meeting the needs of homeless women and children by using education, employment, and life-skills training to help people move from homelessness to independence. Its goal is always the long-term stability and self-sufficiency of each person; its mission is to empower homeless women and their children to achieve permanent, independent living.

The Shop For A Cause event at ENAZ On The Park is spearheaded by store owners and sisters Samantha Shapiro, Melinda Kaplan, and Lena Blitstein, who are known for giving back to the community that supports them.

Most recently, ENAZ On The Park, ENAZ in Highland Park, and ENAZ For Life in Northfield collectively earned the accolade of Best Accessories Store in the annual "Best Of" Initiative voting by Make It Better magazine's audience. More than 105,000 verified votes were submitted across 10 categories.

Said Make It Better in summarizing its unique qualities: "Energy. Nature. Attitude. Zest For Life! This accessory store brings all of these to the table with their designer jewelry and spa products."

"As women and sisters, devoted to our families, socially active, on-the-go from early morning to night, we are our own demographic," said Blitstein, who often attends Fashion Week events in New York City to keep up with the latest styles. "Our clients like what we like so it makes it easier for us to deliver what they need."

"We're more than just a store," said Kaplan. "We listen carefully to the personal and professional fashion needs of our clients and make sure they go home confident in their selection. We truly care about how they look and feel in their different environments."

The ENAZ concept was created and developed by Susan Lurie in 1993. ENAZ On The Park is at 111 W. Church St.; ENAZ in Highland Park is at 444 Central Ave.; and ENAZ For Life is located in Northfield at 309 Happ Road (next to the Happ Inn).
