St. Theresa School Celebrates Grandparents Day

St. Theresa School (STS) in Palatine recently celebrated Grandparents Day with a beautiful Mass and an open house. Over 200 grandparents attended Mass and sat with their grandchildren. Special petitions were made for those grandparents present and those who had died. Lisa Falkenberg Rams, parent of STS students, created hearts with pictures of her father and father-in-law whom their grandchildren proudly displayed, "Grandparents play such an extremely important role in our families, so we wanted to celebrate this day with ALL of our grandparents - those here with us today, and those who live forever in our hearts."

After the celebration, students in preschool through 8th grade, together with their teachers, invited all parents and grandparents to visit their classrooms. St. Theresa School Parents Association coordinated the event, and treated all visitors with delicious breakfast treats and coffee. Each grandparent received a special coffee mug as a small token of gratitude.
