Cook County clerk hosts voter registration events Tuesday

Cook County Clerk David Orr's office will host voter registration events throughout the county on Tuesday, in conjunction with National Voter Registration Day.

Orr will start the day by greeting morning commuters with voter registration information at about 8:15 a.m. at Union Station. He'll then attend the Chicago Votes voter registration rally at 9 a.m. at Daley Center Plaza.

Clerk's staff will conduct voter registration throughout the county, including at the Rolling Meadows and Skokie courthouses. Elected officials, the League of Women Voters, and other groups will hold voter registration drives at locations across the county, including Maine West High School in Des Plaines.

In the week leading up to National Voter Registration Day, the clerk's office has registered about 700 high school and 50 college students to vote.
