Art of the Heartland brings Country Folk Art Festival to St. Charles Sept. 25-27

The Celtic-inspired work of artist Beth Clark-McDonal will be seen at the Country Folk Art Festival on Friday, Sept. 25 to Sunday, Sept. 27, at Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Beth Clark-McDonal's creations join the work of more than 50 other of America's top artisans represented at the annual juried show, long judged one of the country's best presentations of its kind.

Legendary artist and author Will Moses (Grandma Moses great-grandson) will sign copies of his new book for children. Wood carver Anthony Costanza introduces his memorable one-of-a-kind stylized seasonal décor.

Handmade baskets, painted gourds, yard art. Halloween and Christmas décor with a historic flair, floorcloths, needlework, Shaker items, whirligigs, hand-woven textiles and much more are offered.

Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26; and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27. Admission is $8 on Friday, $6 on Saturday, and $4 on Sunday. For information, visit www.artoftheheartland.com or call (630) 387-1151.
