Stevenson still unbeaten in NSC Lake
Jori Radtke racked up team bests of 8 kills, 12 digs and 5 aces, as Stevenson's girls volleyball team defeated Lake Zurich 25-20, 25-11 to stay undefeated in the North Suburban Lake Division on Wednesday night.
Isabella Milejczyk added 7 kills for the Patriots. Corissa Kurth had 14 assists on 40-of-41 setting, 3 aces and 2 solo blocks, helping Stevenson improve to 13-4 and 3-0 in the NSC Lake. Zoe Graflund contributed 2 solo and 2 assisted blocks, and Morgan Berland chipped in 9 digs.
Wauconda d. Antioch: LeAnne Sakowicz rang up 15 kills, 15 assists and 3 aces, and the Bulldogs rallied for s 23-25, 25-20, 25-11 win in North Suburban Prairie play.
Sara Sexton added 10 kills and 5 blocks for Wauconda (12-3, 2-0). Catie Petralia contributed 14 assists and 2 aces, while Jane Sakowicz had 2 aces, and Ashley Anderson notched 14 digs.
Grant d. North Chicago: Lexi Gerdes served 16 of 16 with 6 aces and hit 5 of 5 with 1 kill, as the visiting Bulldogs won 25-10, 25-8 in North Suburban Prairie action.
Kylie Mueller had 5 kills for Grant, Kate Kiser was 18-of-18 setting with 7 assists, and Kelli Varney was 6-of-6 serving with 4 aces. Megan Whitman served 7 of 8 for the Bulldogs.
Huntley d. Grayslake North: The Knights lost the Fox Valley crossover 25-11, 25-17, despite 3 kills and 4 assists each from Kendall Buchman and Maddy Helm.
Taylor Johnston had 6 digs for Grayslake North (7-13).
Vernon Hills d. Round Lake: Selin Kirali pounded 9 kills for the Cougars in their 25-17, 25-20 win in North Suburban Prairie action.
Jordyn Bunning had 4 kills for Vernon Hills, which also received strong contributions from Jade Goldufsky (14 digs, 4 aces), Taylor Harte (11 digs) and Jenna Kelly (20 assists, 4 aces).
