McTigue Financial Group Rosemont Advisor Earns CFP Designation

James Stinson, CFP®, a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual's McTigue Financial Group in Rosemont has been authorized by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board) to use the CFP® and CFP (with flame logo)® certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification requirements.

These CFP® certification recognizes those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning. CFP® certificants must also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility and Financial Planning Practice Standards.

Stinson joined Northwestern Mutual's McTigue Financial Group in 2006. He holds both a BA and BS from the University of Illinois. He resides in Park Ridge with his wife, Nicole.
