Warren High hosts fundraiser

Woodland Elementary District 50's Middle School Marching Wildcats band will join forces with the Warren Township High School Marching Blue Devils and the Viking Middle School band to perform marching routines in exhibition style at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Warren Township High School Stadium O'Plaine campus, 500 N. O'Plaine Road, Gurnee. Admission is free. Students are asking for cash donations to "Fill the Drums" to help raise funds for the family of Taina Salas, a former Viking student who is now a freshman at Warren Township High School. Taina was diagnosed this spring with two brain tumors. She is currently at home resting in preparation for the surgery to remove the tumors. Money donated will support the Salas family as they manage Taina's medical care. For information, contact Elise Matusek at (847) 856-3670.
