ID Day

Visitors can bring fossils, rocks, clean bones, meteorites, seashells, feathers and other specimens to be analyzed by scientists at The Field Museum's second ID Day. Guests can challenge scientists, specializing in zoology, paleontology and geology, to identify the mystery specimens. Guests can also see and touch displays. Visitors are not permitted to bring anything alive. ID Day falls on a Field Museum Free Day, and admission to museum is free to Illinois residents. The Field Museum is at 1400 S.
