'Learning to Connect' to be focus of Elderday's caregiver support group meeting

This month's Caregiver Support Group will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, in Mollie's office (M103) at Elderday Center, 328 W. Wilson St., Batavia.

There will be a special presentation by Gene Kuhn from the Alzheimer's Association titled "Learning to Connect: Relating to the Person with Alzheimer's."

It is designed to provide insight into memory loss and dementia and the effect on communication and behavior. He will introduce techniques to make visits more meaningful and comfortable. If you know someone who could benefit from this group, please invite them to join us.

For more information, contact Mollie Blum, MSW, director of programs, at (630) 761-9750 or mollie.blum@elderdaycenter.org.
