Antioch handles Vernon Hills

Katherine Barr slammed 3 kills and posted 4 blocks, as Antioch's girls volleyball team defeated host Vernon Hills 25-23, 25-13 in North Suburban Prairie Division action Wednesday night.

Candace Nelson added 3 kills, 10 digs and 1 block for the Sequoits.

Vernon Hills' Caralynn Orbell dished out 15 assists. Sophia Lehocky pounded 4 kills, Taylor Harte and Jade Goldufsky each notched 11 digs, and Grace Hutson had 2 blocks.

Stevenson d. Warren: Jori Radtke dominated with 21 kills, while adding 15 digs and 2 aces, as the Patriots prevailed in the North Suburban Lake opener 25-22, 22-25, 25-18.

Stevenson (11-4) also received 8 kills from Jordyn Taborek and five from Emma Bufe, who also had a pair of solo blocks. Morgan Berland collected 17 digs and served 4 aces for the Patriots, and Corissa Kurth dished out 31 assists.

Jenna Walczak had 13 kills and 9 digs for Warren, while Kim Hengesh tallied 3 aces, 7 kills, 6 blocks and 11 digs. Allison Maan de kok had 9 assists and 2 digs for the Blue Devils, who also received 17 assists and 4 digs from Nicole Berzin and 5 kills and 12 digs from Claire Lundtveit.

Grant d. McHenry: Hannah Johnson had 14 kills on 18-of-19 hitting and added 4 blocks, as the visiting Bulldogs pulled out the nonconference match 22-25, 25-17, 25-14.

Kylie Mueller hit 13 of 15 with 8 kills, was 8-of-10 serving and recorded 7 digs. Kate Kiser lofted 20 assists and was perfect of 15 serving attempts. Grant also got contributions from Kelli Varney (11 digs, 9-of-9 serving), Ally Latta (8-of-9 serving), Megan Whitman (7 digs) and Taylor Drake (5 solo blocks).

Libertyville d. Mundelein: The Wildcats captured the North Suburban Lake match 25-10, 25-19.

Mundelein received 4 kills apiece from Monika Bowser and Sidney Brunkow, while Mackenzie Linane was 27-of-27 setting with 10 assists.
