Labor Day weekend flung into full-swing Saturday as the 50th annual Last Fling festival welcomed crowds for a complete day of carnival rides, silly games and main-stage concerts.

The free-admission festival can be found along Jackson Avenue, at the base of Rotary Hill and at the Naper Settlement. Sunday hours are 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., while the fest concludes Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday highlights are a meet-and-greet with Disney Channel actor Calum Worthy of "Austin and Ally" and concerts beginning at 4 p.m. by Lucky Boys Confusion, Finger Eleven and Chevelle.

Monday's activities include the Fling Mile, Rooster 5K and Labor Day parade in the morning, followed by a lineup of tribute bands covering decades of popular music on the main stage.
