Former Streamwood man pleads guilty to battery

A former Streamwood man originally charged with sexually abusing a teenage girl pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of aggravated battery and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Anthony M. Rivas, 27, was also ordered to pay $694 in fines, court records show. The plea to the lesser charge last week came days before his trial was set to begin. He was charged in February 2014.
