WGN Interviews Student Entrepeneur

St. Mary of the Annunciation fifth grader, Felix Castillo, is making quite the name for himself with his cookie business, Felix's Famous Cookies. His handmade Mexican tea cookies are gaining in popularity and have caught the attention of multiple news outlets. On Tuesday, WGN newscaster Lourdes Duarte and her cameraman Nelson Howard came to St. Mary of the Annunciation in Mundelein to interview Felix and his classmates about Felix's growing cookie empire. Even though there was some debate about their favorite flavor, the students were all in agreement that Felix's cookies are delicious and that everyone should try them. Classmates also were proud of the fact that Felix donates a portion of his profits to a different charity each month. September donations will go to support the National Museum of Mexican Art.
